- Lilo and Stitch is the first Disney
animated movie since Dumbo to have all
watercolor backgrounds. - Sonic
- Right after Lilo sees the falling
star, if you look at her easel you can
see a stuffed animal of Dumbo. It's
a little reference to the last Disney
movie to have watercolor backgrounds.
- Sonic
- After Stitch shoves the shaved ice
onto the dog, if you look at the bottom
row of postcards you can see one that
says "Orlando" and has a picture
of The Magic Kingdom on it. - Sonic
- Chris Sanders not only co-directed
this movie, he also co-wrote it, did
the storyboards with Dean DeBlois (the
other director/writer), and created
and did the voice for Stitch. How many
people can say that? - Sonic

- There's a car with the license plate 8113.
This is a reference to a popular first-year
classroom at CalArts, a top training ground
for animators. (I got this out of a magazine,
but I thought you guys might like to know.)
- Sonic
- After Stitch lands and starts crossing the
highway, you can see a street sign with a
picture of a turtle on it. - Sonic
- In a late scene, Captain Gantu is hunting
down Stitch. To the left of his main computer
screen, you can see Mickey's head made out
of lights from the control panel. - Sonic
- Comment: The
Mickey Mouse headlights is just one of
thousands of hidden Mickey Mouses found
in Disney. You could see his head shape
or even himself in all Disney movies.
- TAZ
- In the movie you can see a store with the
name "Mulan Wok." This is a reference
to "Mulan," a Disney movie that
Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders previously
worked on together. Also, Nani has a Mulan
poster in her room. (Source: theater) - Sonic
- There's a rumor that the mark on the back
of Stitch's head is supposed to be an angel
because that's what Lilo asked for in the
beginning of the movie. You be the judge.
