  • The red marker dot is gone from Mia Wallace's chest when the needle goes in.
  • In a short scene showing Bonnie arriving from work, the cameraman follows her as she walks towards the kitchen (to find her husband, Vincent and Jules lifting Marvin's body). As she turns left, you can see the cameraman's shadow on the wall. - Yann Ropers
  • When Jules grabs the hamburger that is from big kahuna burgers it clearly is at first a McDonald's cheeseburger, and then later it has lettuce and other different things. This might be the other way around I can't remember. - David
  • When Marvin gets shot in the head, in the view from the outside rear of the car (right before head explodes) you can see that John Travolta's head & body is turned away from the back seat, not facing him as seen right before from the view inside the car. - Scott
  • In one scene Butch points a sword at Zed. It then cuts to Butch and it's not pointing at Zed, then it cuts back to Zed and it is. - David
  • While in Zed's place, the blood on butch's shirt changes. - David
  • The scene where Bruce Willis takes the "chopper" back to the hotel to pick up the girlfriend, if you look into the hotel room window, you can see the reflection of one of the crew members from across the way, up on the roof adjusting a light or something. - Pickzi

  • Mr. Wolf is taking the junk yard girl out to breakfast he also offers Vince and Jules a ride yet his car is a two seat sports model. How are four people going to ride in a two-seat automobile? - qk vet
  • When Pumpkin and Hunny Bunny are in the restaurant at the start I noticed that their timing is different to the end of the film. Maybe this is the thing that explaines Hunny Bunny's different line being from a different point of view. i.e- Jules. However from the point of Pumpkin saying "GARCON", to the point to Hunny Bunny saying "I love u pumpkin" (the two bits that you can hear at the end, is about 52 secs at the beginning, however at the end when we are listening to Jules and Vincent the time lapse between these two quotes from the armed robbers is about 144 secs. Considerably longer than at the start, the clip is done in whole so there are no missed seconds where the actors could have just been "doing nothing" but it's weird that the gap is very noticeable. - cris
  • In the coffee scene we see that the clock behind Mr. Tarantino says 8:15, he then says that Bonnie will be home in an hour and a half- about. This would mean that the guys have until 9:45 to get rid of Marvin and clean up. However when Mr. Wolf gets there we then learn that Bonnie will be home at 9:30 and that they have only 40 minutes. So they lost 15 minutes somewhere unless his clock in the kitchen is wrong, it just puzzles me that the time is wrong, bit annoying. (DVD/WS/SE) - cris
  • Mr. Wolf when writing down the details on his notepad lists the main things, he then writes BODY, NO HEAD. When we know and so do Jules and Vince that it clearly has a head, why would Jules tell Marsellus this if the body has a head? Another annoying thing. - (DVD/WS/SE) - cris
  • When, in the beginning Vincent Vega (Travolta) and Jules Winnfield (Jackson) mess up the guys in the apartment, Jules is talking about the "cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast" and picks up a WHOLE burger. In the next shot we see him biting into a burger where half of it is already gone. (DVD) - Maulwurfmk
  • (Continuity) When Jules and Vincent enter the apartment with the flock of seagulls guy on the couch and the preppy guy "Brett" sitting and eating a burger for breakfast he takes a bite of Brett's burger. He the asks Brett if he knows why they call a quarter pounder a royal with cheese in France. Brett answers "because of the metric system" to which Jules replies"Look at the brain on Brad" not Brett. - Dego
  • (Factual errors) When Vince and Jules blow Brett away in the beginning of the movie, the shot of Jules shows that he stops firing and the slide of the gun locks back thus he was out of ammo. When that guy pops out of the back room with the revolver, both Vince and Jules fire at him when in reality only Vince would have been able to shoot him. - Veritas Aquetas

Commented Goofs

  • The bible verse that Jules quotes is not Ezekiel 25:, nor is it found anywhere in the bible. - David
    • In fact, only the last sentence and part of the second last sentence is in the bible.
    • Comment: Oh and as for what I wrote about the bible verse, I should not have labeled this a mistake, but simply something funny. It's kind of odd that a verse so close to Jules is something that he has written most of. And then later in the restaurant, he analyzes his own words pretty much! - David
    • Comment: I've finally found the origin of Jules' Bible verse speech. It mostly comes from "The Bodyguard" a Kung Fu film from the 70's not that Houston/Costner piece of crap. It's almost lifted word for word. Funny how Jules then proceeds to analyze a speech from a movie....wait that's exactly what I'm doing. Oh darn. - David
    • Comment: The passage is actually part of Ezekiel 25:17. Quentin had taken artistic freedom while writing that line. The later part of the quote is quite close to the actual passage. As with all Bibles it is a matter of the translation. My Bible is quoted as "I will carry out great vengeance on them and punish them in my wrath. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I take vengeance on them." - Ezekiel 2517
  • It was an accident that he shot Marvin? Then why does he close his eyes before he *squeezes* the trigger (thanks DVD!) - Scott
    • Comment: The car drove over a bump, the car jumped up and Vincent got startled. When you get startled you make some automatic movements. One of these reactions are closing eyes. Too bad for Marvin that Vincent also accidentally squeezed the trigger. "Ah, man! I shot Marvin in the face!"
    • Comment: I noticed a couple of things in the scene where Vincent shoots Marvin in the face: In the car, Vincent says to Jules, "You went over a bump or something....The gun went off, I don't know why!" First of all, if you look over Vincent's shoulder when he is asking Marvin if he believed God came down from Heaven and stopped the bullets (where Vincent is turned around in the front seat, pointing the gun at Marvin in the back seat), you can clearly see the road ahead of them. It is a very smooth road, no bumps or potholes. Just smooth, easy-riding road. Secondly, if you slow the DVD down and watch that part frame by frame, you can actually see Travolta squeezing the trigger of the gun. He doesn't do it hard, or so you'd notice if you were watching in real-time, but it is just a slight movement that makes the gun go off. You only see it if you watch frame by frame. But, of course, those automatics are sensitive things. However, I don't think this means that Vincent "purposefully" shot Marvin. Rather, I think that he was just so caught up in the heat of the moment, discussing the validity of the "miracle of the bullets", that he just wasn't thinking straight. But, that seems to be a theme with Vincent... (Source: DVD) - lady k

Corrected Goofs

  • I don't know if this is considered as a goof, but all of the analog clocks are set to 4:10 p.m. - Vic Cherubini
    • Correction: Actually all the clocks were set to 4:20 not 4:10. It's a marijuana thing and it was purposely done that way. - Kerry
      • Correction: No, I thought so also until I actually watched the movies for the clocks. When the kid gets the watch it is set at 9:00. I also heard the 4:20 rumor and was disappointed to find out it was not true. - DaJeepman
  • When Butch "breaks" his nose in the car right after he hits that Wallace dude, then in the Pon Shop Butchs' nose isn't swollen. When you break your nose it doesn't look normal for a couple of days! - Dani
    • Correction: Butch is a fighter. There is a strong chance that his nose has been broken before and in in such a case it does not always swell. The cartlage and blood vessels in the nose never fully reform and the nose stays the same. - The Reverend

Explained Goofs

  • The scene where Vincent and Jules shoot a guy, you can see, if you look carefully, the bullet hole in the wall before the gun is even shot.
    • Explanation: "It seems to be possible that the holes might have been there for other reasons, it's not a great apartment, but it could be a mistake in editing." - QT FAQ
  • Early in the movie, when Jules gives his "Ezekiel Speech" just before blowing away Brett he finishes with: "And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee!" At the end, when giving the same speech to Ringo in the coffee shop he finishes with: "And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you." In both instances Jules prefaces the speech by saying this was a "passage I got memorized." At the end he says, "I been sayin' that shit for years." If that's the case why the discrepancies? - methodan
    • Explanation: "A lot of people think this was probably a mistake. It has also been thought by some that Tarantino was showing us the difference between perceptions of different people in the diner, the second time being Jules' perception. It is interesting to note that in a early version of the script the difference isn't there, but it was added in a later version." - QT FAQ
  • The dialogue in the restaurant scene at the beginning of the movie changes in what is supposed to be the same scene at the end. In the first scene Honey Bunny shouts "Any of you fucking pigs move and I'll execute every motherfucking last one of you!" But at the end this changes to "Any of you fucking pigs move and I'll execute every one of you motherfuckers!". This almost seems too obvious to be unintentional. - Mathew Franks
    • Explanation: If I recall correctly, Plummer says "pricks" not "pigs". But that's irrelevant in this case. Anywho, I found an explanation to the "goof" above, read below:

Why are Honey Bunny's lines different from the beginning of the film and at the end?
"A lot of people think this was probably a mistake. It has also been thought by some that Tarantino was showing us the difference between perceptions of different people in the diner, the second time being Jules' perception. It is interesting to note that in a early version of the script the difference isn't there, but it was added in a later version." - QT FAQ

Honey Bunny's both lines:
At the beginning of the movie:
Sound-clip1: "Any of you fucking pricks move, and I'll execute every motherfucking last one of ya!"
At the end of the movie:
Sound-clip2: "...and I'll execute everyone of you motherfuckers!"

  • When Marvin is shot in the face, pieces of his skull all over the backseat of the car as Jules says, but when Marvin is shown in the trunk his face is completely intact. - David
    • Explanation: The thing is that the bullet penetrates his face nicely and splatters the back of his head completely.
    • Info: the Marvin-situation was supposed to be a longer scene. Marvin was supposed to be shot and not die and Jules and Vincent were supposed to stop the car, drag Marvin out and put him out of his misery, or something along those lines. - Webmaster
