- If you look down the barrels of some of
the M-16's you can see that there is something
inside of the barrel that would prevent bullets
from escaping. I'm guessing this is because
these are "blank" guns. - David
- When ------ gets shot through his chest,
you can clearly see that he has an extended
chest to accentuate the hole in it. - David
- In one of the traps Arnold sets for the
predator, you can clearly see that a rope
moving up was clearly added later, it was
practically glowing! - David
- When ----- gets his head blown up, you can
clearly see it is a dummy head. - David
- When Blain is firing the big chaingun in
the rebel base, in one scene you can see a
power lead dangling from his trousers. Apparently
such a gun needs something like four car batteries
to run. Now, with this in mind, how is this
soldier going to find a power socket in the
middle of the jungle. - Shrill
- In a scene where Arnold and his team are
attacking this military base, he shots a high
explosive round at a Russian officer. The
round acts like a shotgun shell and blows
the Russian through a wall. - Shrill
- A long time has passed since I saw this,
but I remember this scene well. Some guy impales
a scorpion with a knife then crushes it underneath
his boot. As his boot lowers on it you can
see it crawling forwards towards his boot's
toe. This means its head lines up with his
toe, and its tail with his heel. Yet when
he lifts up his boot that scorpion has suddenly
flipped around and has its head in line with
his heel and not his toe! - Jagannatha
- When the Predator shoots off Carl Weather's
arm, you can clearly see his real arm being
held behind his back underneath his jacket
when he turns side on to the camera. - orin
boyd
- When the commandos are shooting up the clearing
where they think the Predator is, several
rifles with 30 round magazines take nearly
15-20 seconds to empty, instead of the average
2.6 seconds they should take.
- When Anna falls down and tries to get away
from Dillon and Poncho stops her, when she
gets up you can see that one of the plastic
zip ties that bound her hands has come off.
- Outdoorsman
- When Anna escapes after hitting Poncho in
the face, Dutch whistles for the men to chase
her, except his mouth never moves to make
the whistle sound. - Outdoorsman
- When Billy stops on the log to face the
predator and he takes off his jacket, they
show a body shot of him, but it is definitely
not his body, it's too muscular. - Outdoorsman
- When Mac sees the Predator the first time
after Blain has just been killed he fires
off all of his rounds in his gun (not the
gattling gun). Once he's done shooting if
you look down the barrel you can clearly see
it glowing red hot. This means the blank stopper
is in there. - K-Gee
- It's weird that some of the most obvious
goofs are not the ones mentioned here. Ive
seen the movie on VHS, so I dont know
if they corrected this on DVD version. In
many of the infrared shots from the viewpoint
of the Predator (essentially toward the end
of movie) theres a row of data at the
bottom of the screen. Now, I can admit that
his high-tech mask visor could display some
info, but then Id expect it to be in
some alien language, and not in English and
plain numbers. It looks more like the settings
of the infrared camera. Oops! (VHS) - St
Fan
- In the scene where Dillon gets his arm "removed"
the Predator stabs him and picks him up, if
you look at the bottom of the screen you see
that a springboard picks him up. (VHS) - mike
- As Anna is falling down after being hit
with the butt of Dutch's rifle, you can spot
someone's hand grab Anna before she hits the
floor. Maybe the cameraman. Who knows? (VHS)
- Jake
- (Factual errors) When Billy crushes the
scorpion under his boot after taking it off
Dillon's shoulder, it is lying on a box or
ledge, then you see through the predator's
thermal vision, as he looks down at the glowing
dead scorpion. How can this be when scorpions
are cold blooded and have no body heat? -

Commented
Goofs
- When Dutch is watching the hostage through
the binoculars and he (the hostage) is shot
in the head, the blood pack goes off before
the actual gun shot does. - Outdoorsman
- Comment: This
might make sense after all because light
travels considerably faster than sound.
So you would see the shot fired just before
you hear it. - Todd
Corrected
Goofs
- Predator's "shoulder cannon" makes
a big mess when he shoots those two soldiers
with it. Other guy's head explodes and other
guy's chest explodes, but when he shoots at
Arnold, that makes only a little scratch to
his chest. - palikka
- Comment: One
it doesn't hit him in the chest, it hits
him in the arm and two Arnold is the "hero"
so killing him like that would make for
a poor movie plus you wouldn't be able
to see the big explosions at the end.
- ash
- Correction:
The predator's shot at Arnie does
not hit him in the arm either. If
you watch in slow motion the shot
was aimed at Arnie's rifle. The rifle
splits in two and Arnie is wounded
by shrapnel or whatever but not a
direct hit. (Presumably, by now the
Predator has decided that Arnie is
the one to have a hand-2-hand with
so he gets rid of Arnie's weapon).
- Marty
- Just after the Predator picks up the scorpion,
we see Billy holding his rifle, but without
the shotgun underneath. Seconds later, the
shotgun reappears. - Severd
Hed
- Correction:
What Severd Hed refers to as a shot gun
under Billy's rifle is hardly a shot gun.
It's a M203 grenade launcher... and Dutch
uses the cartridges for these to make
his arrow head.

Goofs
- After the rescue team destroys the guerrilla
camp and kills everybody, Carl Weathers argues
with a female hostage in Spanish. If you look
behind them, you can see one of the corpses
shake his foot. (VHS) - Jaska

This comment is taken
from the Pearl
Harbor page, featuring a similar goof:
It is a medical fact that sometimes dead
bodies can twitch or move, it's a muscle
spasm cause by trauma. Look it up. - Blanket
