- In the scene where Johnny breaks the window
because he locks the keys in the car it's
pouring rain. But when he goes to kick the
post to use to break the window, there is
a very dark shadow of him on the path... from
what?? - Beavie
- In the dance scene at the end Patrick Swayze
takes his jacket of twice. - Krystal
- In the scene where Baby and Johnny (Jennifer
and Patrick) are dancing to the song Mickey
& Silvia, Neil Kellerman walks in on them.
After Neil talks to Johnny, he walks away
and there's a shot of Johnny slamming a record
down on a stack of records. In the next shot,
which is a reflection of Johnny in the mirror,
he does it again. - Devlin
- When Johnny and Penny are teaching Baby
how to dance, Penny puts a record on and then
the song "Hungry Eyes" starts playing
and you seen her remove the record player
before she comes over to help. - Nikea
- In the scene when Johnny and Baby are driving
home from the Shelldrake, look at the gearshift.
Is it possible to drive a car that fast while
it is in Park? - rachel
lynn
- In the scene when Johnny and Baby are driving
back from their dance at the Shelldrake, if
you watch the scenery behind Johnny's head.
It's going backwards. - Jen
- At the end of the movie when Johnny and
Baby are doing their dance and Johnny jumps
off the stage his hair is soaked from sweat,
but yet in the the shot with all the people
dancing his hair is dry. - Maria
- At the end of the movie when Johnny and
Baby are dancing, AFTER Johnny jumps off the
stage and he goes to his knees. If you notice
when he gets up he has dirt on his pants,
but then again in the next shot it's not there.
How could he have cleaned the dirt off his
pants if he was dancing? - Maria
- In the closing scene where Johnny and Baby
are leaving the dance floor and are stopped
by Baby's father, you can see the tape marks
on the floor where they are supposed to stop.
(VHS) - Chris
- If the film takes place in the early sixties,
then why were they dancing off of a song like
"The Time of My Life?" This song
is pure 80s pop, and nothing like it was around
back then. - Sean
- In the dancing scene at the end, Johnny
and Baby start to leave and are stopped by
Baby's father. Then two seconds later, they
are dancing in the middle of the floor with
everyone around them. First, where were they
going? And second, why did they change their
minds and begin dancing again? It is not like
they could have just taken off, Baby was only
16!!! - Nasty1
- When Baby agrees to help take a watermelon
up to the staff quaters with Johnny's cousin,
the song "Do You Love Me?" starts
to play and yet by the time they have walked
up the long and steep path to reach the dancers,
the song hasn't progressed. - hannah
- In the scene where Johnny and Robbie are
fighting, Johnny's belt buckle is not buckled
and the suddenly it is. - staysee
- When Baby is painting the tree for the play.
If you look at the paintbrush there is no
paint on the paintbrush. So how can she paint
with now paint on the brush. (TV) - Tiffani
- (Revealing mistakes) At the end of the movie
when the whole staff is up on stage singing
and Johnny walks out, half of the crew automatically
walks right off stage. "Baby's"
sister "Lisa" looks over at them
as if they were not supposed to go yet. This
might not be a goof, but it seems off to me.
(VHS) - Cometmoth
- (Plot holes) If Baby is only 16 why does
her father say she is going to start attending
college in the fall. It is the summer when
they are at Kellerman's so it must be the
summer of her senior year in high school.
Therefore she must be at least 17 if not 18.
- ougirl2oo7
- (Crew/equipment visible) In the scene when
Johnny is walking and sitting on the tree
above the stream and talking to Baby, you
can see the edge of a shiny red mat - right
after he sits down on the trunk. - Wurstkind
Commented
Goofs
- Baby mouths the words "I carried a
watermelon?!" twice.
- Comment: It
looks to me that she was so embarrassed
because she thought that Johnny was cute..
That she said it more than once. - jenne
- Correction:
In the scene with the watermelon
and Baby said "I carried a watermelon"
then Johnny turns away and she says
again " I carried a watermelon"
its the next scene where you see her
say it again. They showed the same
scene twice from different angles.

Corrected
Goofs
- After Baby and Johnny make love, baby is
covering her chest with the sheet well she
bends a little and you can clearly see that
she is wearing black underwear. Wouldn't she
suppose to be naked if they made love to each
other? He had to put on his pants and stuff.
- Cutie247
- Correction:
During the scene where Baby and Johnny
were making love she did not have on black
underwear but in fact was wearing white
lace underwear.. thank you. - Moosh
