- For a brief second just when Paul Sarone
(Jon Voight) is thrown overboard, a nearby
waterfall flows upward.
- The snake swallows Paul Sarone head first
and it also spits him out head-first - Fast
turnaround.
- Correction:
Someone said the Sarone is swallowed head
first then spite out head first well he
wasn't, I watched the movie and it was
feet first. - adam
- When the Voight character throws a bucket
of monkey blood over his captives, you can
see the blood make-up on them before the 'blood'
is supposed to hit them. In fact, the 'blood'
doesn't go near them - it is thrown diagonally
so that it does not hit the supposed target!
- Da King

the camera cuts away to the other characters.

- Near the end of the movie the heroes are
in front of a waterfall and they are trying
to free their boat which is stuck on a reef
(or something). When the boat is freed, it's
really just a reversal of the same footage
of it getting stuck... You can see the waterfalls
flowing backwards (bottom to top) in the background.

- Michael supposedly lives in Reston, VA,
which is in Fairfax County; throughout the
movie, the street signs in his neighborhood
are white letters on a green sign - however
in Fairfax County all street signs are white
letters on blue signs. - Scott

sign is green with white letters. Some

- During the fight scene in the warehouse
between Jeff Bridges and Tim Robbins, Jeff
clearly has a bloody nose. They cut away to
Jeff and when they come back to Tim there
is no blood.
- When Jeff Bridges girlfriend is following
Tim to the warehouse/delivery company she
is supposedly looking in her rear view mirror.
It looks like Jeff gets out of the passenger
side of the car. I think the camera had to
use an extra mirror or something or the image
was reversed.
- When Michael is chasing the delivery van
he gets hit in the back of the car by a bus
the trunk flies open. In the next scene when
Michael is still driving the trunk is close
with barely any damage. - Loaded1215

In a couple of shots, his hair is cleanly

- Towards the end of the movie, the beings
are explaining to David that they can re-create
a human if they have a fingernail or a piece
of bone. Teddy pulls out the hair that David
had cut from Monica earlier in the film. The
only problem is, is that in order to re-create
the human DNA would be needed, since "cut"
hair contains no roots or hair follicles the
sample would be useless. - wildlife
- Correction:
Contrary to what 'wildlife' said, DNA
could, in fact, be extracted from 'cut'
human hair. When the aliens asked for
'fingernails' or 'bones', they weren't
actually referring to a whole fingernail
pulled out from one's finger; or a whole
femur (leg bone). They were asking for
mere fragments of bones or nail clippings.
Nails and hair are basically made up of
the same thing, dead cells. And if you
watch 'Discovery Channel', you'd learn
about these things a little more. - bitoy
- Comment: Bitoy
is right wildlife. Wildlife, I think you
are referring to the old AB typing that
is pre-DNA testing, in that case you would
need roots, but this is way in the future.

- When the kid's friend says, "Does he
have DOS?" and later explains, "It
stands for Danger Avoidance System".
That wouldn't work because "Avoidance"
begins with the letter "A" not "O".

- Comment:
Ryan, if it is "DAS" then
why did the other kid CLEARLY say
"DOS is good". - mandie
- Comment:
Uh, I don't know what that has
to do with the fact that it's
"DAS" and not "DOS",
other than how it's pronounced.
A script I read states that it's
"DAS" anyway, that's
where I got it from. If you don't
wanna believe it then so be it.

- Explanation:
About the DOS/DAS debate: He
clearly says DAS (dahs), not DOS (doss).
And when the other boy says "DAS

German phrase "Das ist gut."
He even says it with a slight German
accent. - Sam
- When Melvin, Carol and Simon are driving
in the car (with the top down), Simon says
to Carol, I'll tell you about my Mom and Dad.
When Carol stops the car, to show her undivided
attention, the convertible top is up. - Doug
- When Carol runs in the rain over to Melvin's
apartment, her T-shirt gets soaking wet. When
she enters the building we can clearly see
that she is wearing a bra, but when she gets
to Melvin's door she obviously is not wearing
a bra. A wet T-shirt on a woman with no bra
reveals quite a lot. She even realizes that
her self and quickly covers her chest. "Where
the hell did my bra disappear?" - Webmaster

- Milo Thatch meets Kida for the first time,
and trying to break the language barrier asks
her, "Parle vous Francais" (Do you

(Yes)! They speak everything down there, it
turns out. He surmises that they had a "Tower
of Bable thing" going on in Atlantis.
Okay, even if they spoke "French"...the
name France would have not have been in use
at the time Altantis slipped underground,
it wouldn't have even been known as Gaul.
- Kieth Moreland
- In the scene where Milo Thatch is explaining
his theory to his "audience," he
has to rub up against the chalk board for
some reason. When he returns to facing his
audience, he finds that his diagram has been
"lifted" from the chalkboard to
his clothing. He merely assumes his place
in front of the chalkboard to maintain continuity
of his presentation. Only one problem: when
he would have transferred the chalk diagram,
then turned around, the reverse view of the
diagram would have been on his clothing. -
Kieth Moreland
- The submarine that Milo and the other Atlantis
explorers use at the beginning of their trip
had a steam engine to power it, where it is
fueled by coal. This would be impossible,
because 1.) because the sub is underwater,
with no smokestacks, there's no way in physics
for the smoke to escape, and 2.) steam engines
can only be found among trains and boats while
turn-of-the-century subs ran on diesel or
gasoline. -

- In the beginning, when Milo is explaining
his theory, he says that the shepard's journal
was supposedly in Ireland, but instead it
was on Iceland. I beg your pardon, but, when
was this taking place? Back at the time of
Atlantis, it would have been called by some
ancient name! - lil red
- (Revealing mistakes) Alright, when they're
underground and are trekking for months and
months, forever and ever, Amen Alleluia, etc.,
they pass through a lot of different climates.
At one point they get all hot and the background
is like a desert and a few scenes later, they
pass through snow. FIRST of all, it can't
snow underground. There can't be clouds to
snow underground, and there was no sun to
evaporate the water so it COULD snow. Second,
again, there is no sun. Therefore, no desert.
